To answer this question, Emerge NE Ltd sought the advice of a professional hygiene test house. They suggested the ATP test method. This test is a measure of hygiene and cleanliness.
Adenosine Trisphosphate (ATP) is a molecule found in all living things. The detection of ATP is a direct measure of the biological concentration and health of bacteria and viruses.
ATP hygiene testing works by combining ATP with a liquid-stable reagent such as Luciferase enzyme. The chemical reaction caused by the combination emits light, which is then measured as a direct proportion to the amount of ATP present.
The process of ATP testing is straight-forward and easy. Use a swab to swab
the area you would like to test. After swabbing, the liquid-stable reagent is
added and the swab is placed inside a luminometer where the reaction is
This reaction is measured and converted into RLU’s which is the measure of
light emitted due to the reaction.

Following the tests, ProXL Sanitize Foggers performance showed that there was a huge reduction in the effectiveness of the bacteria and viruses within the first 20 minutes.
The performance of this Anti-Viral treatment continued for the next 4 – 6 days. After this period of time, the RLU figures started to return to levels prior to fogging treatment.
